Lunch is cooked here, every day.
Not delivered, not reheated from a tray. A hot vegetarian lunch is cooked in-house every day, and it is included in the monthly fee rather than charged on top.

An example week
The menu changes through the year. This is a typical week.
- Vegetarian quiche
- Veggie platter with orange curry dip
- Macaroni and cheese
- Mixed salad, honey mustard vinaigrette
- Singapore-style noodles
- With tofu and vegetables
- Bean tacos
- Fresh garnishes and cheese
- Ginger and squash soup
- Corn bread and Caesar salad
What that means day to day
A cooked lunch sounds like a small thing until you have packed one every morning for a year.
- No lunches to pack. No forgotten lunch bags, no working out what will still be edible at noon, no cool packs to wash out at night.
- It is already in the fee. Lunch is not an extra line on the invoice or an optional programme you opt into. Every child eats.
- Sunset employs its own cook. Nazia is part of the staff team, in the building, cooking in the daycare’s own kitchen. She is not a caterer and the food is not delivered.
- Everyone eats the same food, together. Children sit down to one shared meal rather than twenty-five different lunch boxes, which is quietly one of the reasons fussy eaters here tend to widen out.
- It is vegetarian. That keeps one kitchen, one meal and one set of rules for everybody.
